Remembering the Iron Man of India

Vallabhbhai Patel was born on October 31, 1875, in Nadiad, Gujarat. And without his effort, India would not be what it looks like today!

As the first Home Minister and the Deputy Prime Minister of India, he led the task of forging a united India. He was a man of principles and a fierce nationalist. His resolve and craft were praised by Gandhi too, as he believed only Patel is capable to unify the nation.

His success in uniting around 565 princely states after our country’s independence, as well as his political contribution, got him the title of ‘Iron Man of India', to honor his Iron will.

Since 2017, we celebrate his birth anniversaryas Rashtriya Ekta Diwas. But this yearas on his 143rd birth anniversary today, it’s a very historic and proud moment for us. As today we unveiled the tallest statue in the World ‘The Statue of Unity’ which is made in his honor.
