Training programme at NIPER

A two-week intensive training programme on ‘Pharmaceutical Quality by Design: A Risk-Based Approach’ was organized by the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER). The Ministry of External Affairs under Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) was one of the main sponsors and 20 representatives from 10 countries took part in the programme. The representatives came from Algeria, Bangladesh, Cuba, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mauritius, Malawi, Sri Lanka, and Sudan. People who attended the programme have drug regulatory, pharmacist and quality control background.

Experts delivered lectures on various issues. Prof Uma Batra, Deputy Director, Punjab Engineering College (PEC), Chandigarh, was the chief guest. Dr. Naresh Sharma. Deputy Drugs Controller was guest of honor and Amit K Rawat was specially invited. The guests and the participants were welcomed by the course coordinator, Prof Sanjay Jachak. He also prepared a special report on the course.
